WooSim Bluetooth Printer Does Not Automatically Connect to Device after pairing

Your WooSim Bluetooth printer is compatible with both Android and iOS (Apple) mobile devices.  If your WooSim Bluetooth printer currently has the incorrect Bluetooth profile active, it will pair to your device normally but may not automatically reconnect to your device when powered on and in range of your mobile device.

If your WooSim Bluetooth printer does not automatically reconnect to your mobile device after it has been paired, you may need to toggle the active Bluetooth profile.

Learn how to toggle the active Bluetooth profile by following the steps below.

Please note that these steps should be taken AFTER your Bluetooth printer has been paired to your device.  If necessary, please refer to the following support article to learn how to pair your WooSim printer.

Connect Your WooSim Printer to Your Device

Turn the Bluetooth printer off

If your WooSim printer is powered on, press and hold  until you hear a tri-tone beep.  This will take about 3 seconds.

Turn Bluetooth setting off

For iOS devices:

  1. Tap "Settings" from the home screen
  2. Tap "Bluetooth"
  3. Toggle the switch on the right of the "Bluetooth" label to the left to turn Bluetooth off (the switch will turn white)

For Android devices:

  1. Tap "Settings" from the home screen
  2. Toggle the switch to the right of the "Bluetooth" label to the left to turn Bluetooth off

Toggle your printer's active Bluetooth profile

  1.  Press and hold  until you hear a tri-tone beep to turn your printer back on.  This will take about 3 seconds.
  2. After the red error light stops blinking, press and hold both  and  until you hear a series of beeps and a test receipt prints.  This will take between 5 and 7 seconds.

Verify your printer's active Bluetooth profile

Locate the "MODE =" line towards the top of the test receipt printed after toggling your printer's active Bluetooth profile.

  • For iOS devices, the "MODE =" line should read "Bluetooth(iAP)"
  • For Android devices, the "MODE =" line should read "Bluetooth"

If your printer is now toggled to the incorrect profile, turn your Bluetooth printer back off and then repeat the steps in the "Toggle your printer's active Bluetooth profile" section above.

Test your resolution

  1. Turn Bluetooth on your mobile device back on
  2. Locate the "WooSim" label in the "My Devices" section
  3. Confirm the "WooSim" label changes from "Not Connected" to "Connected".  This may take a few seconds.
